I would recommend this holiday. Good friendly welcome on arrival. Induction of cottage pleasant. The cottage was very clean. The setting is quiet but very good for visiting surrounding area.

Lovely cosy and quiet cottage with lots to see and do nearby. Lovely owner. Cottage has everything you would need. Would definitely recommend.

An absolutley delightful cottage at the end of Kirkby Malzeard Main Street (almost at the end of the village on the rhs) - I could have quite happily not come home!! Geek Note: No internet in the village! The "must see's" are : Fountains Abbey, and the walk through gardens if you are fit and less than 20 minutes by car, Ripon Catherdral (15 minutes), Leyburn (about an hour), Bedale etc (about 30 minutes), and Middleham Castle/Marmion Tower on the way home - dont go without Sat Nav!...and dont trust all of its suggestions! I ended up a farm track heading towards some "hall" or other. A well recommended place to stay - on the eastern side of the Dales but the scenery!!!! Self catering but brilliant!!

Kirkby Malzeard is in a fantastic position for visits to Fountains Abbey, the breweries at Masham, Brimham Rocks, Newby Hall, walks over Niddderdale, Pately Bridge etc etc. There are not many holiday lets for 2 people only.
